- Proofreading – this is reading the copy purely to identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Proof-editing
– this is where your writing hasn't been edited or proofread before. It's a blend of proofreading and copy-editing and is my most popular service as it combines two editorial skills.
- Copy-editing
– this is a technical process that focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation and consistency. This will include proofreading, but it is not the same as a very final proofread.
- Line editing – this focuses on the flow, style and clarity of writing, working line by line, to help your document connect with your audience. It should be done before the stages above.
